Follow the tying process

• 1.

  Spread out the tenugui face down and lay the wine bottle on it.

• 2.

  Place the end of the tenugui over the bottle, slightly below the shoulders, and wrap it around both sides of the bottle as shown in the picture.

• 3.

  Wrap it tightly and the finish will be beautiful.

• 4.

  Hold the bottle with one hand, twist the left-over material in the same direction as it was wound.

• 5.

  Make a loop by circling the twisted part around the shoulder of the bottle then pull it through and out from under the loop.

• 6.

• 1.

  Fold the tenugui to twice the length of the plastic bottle.

• 2.

  Stand the bottle up in the center.

• 3.

  Wrap the tenugui tightly and spread it so that the tip of the hem is sharp.

• 4.

  Tilt the bottle toward the front (side of the spread hem).

• 5.

  Tie up both remaining sides.

• 6.

  Shape it and it's done.

  Fold the tenugui to twice the length of the plastic bottle.

• 2.

  Place the bottle upright in the center.Fold the top back about 1 cm.

• 3.

  Treat the folded part as the collar of a kimono and wrap it so that the right side (as seen from the front) is on top.

• 4.

  Fold up the spread hem.

• 5.

  Fold back about 2 cm to make it look like a kimono obi.

• 6.

  Tie the ends of the folded part at the back.

• 7.

■How to wrap a tissue box

• 1.

  Fold both ends of the tenugui into an appropriate size.

• 2.

  Place the tissue box on the center.

• 3.

  Fold up both sides tight to the sides of the tissue box.

• 4.

  Fold up the top and bottom of the box to form a boat-like shape while fixing the ◆ (around the tissue outlet) in the figure.

• 5.

  Tie both ends together. First, make a loose knot on one end, then tie the other end tightly. Finally, go back and tighten the first knot to keep everything in place.

• 6.

  Shape it and it's done.

■How to make a pocket tissue case

• 1.

  Fold both ends of the tenugui so that its length becomes about 55 cm.

• 2.

  Place the tissue along the edge of the tenugui and fold the other end to the height of the tissue.

• 3.

  Put the pocket tissue next to the tenugui, and fold the other end up.

• 4.

  Hold the front part, and turn it over with the back facing up.

• 5.

  Fold the left and right sides to fit the width of the pocket tissue.

• 6.

  Put the pocket tissue next to the tenugui, and fold it once toward you so it lines up with the height of the tissue.

• 7.

  Tuck the extra part inside and neaten up the shape.

• 8.

Follow the tying process

• 1.

  Fold both ends of the tenugui to about 2.8 times the length of the book.

• 2.

  Lay the book on the tenugui, with the spine aligned to the vertical center.

• 3.

  Fold the tenugui in half lengthwise to cover the book. Then, fold it back to match the width of the book. Do the same on the other side.

• 4.

  Spread it out so that the folded part is at the back.

• 5.

  Move the book to the side, and fold the top and bottom to match its height.

• 6.

  Flip the first folded side, then tuck the second folded side inside and finish the shape.

• 7.
